What will you do?

As a Medical Advisor Drug Repurposing you will work in the Dutch Medical Affairs team within the Medical Cluster Benelux & Nordics organization in Teva Haarlem. In this role you will be working in a team of 4 enthusiastic Medical Advisors and your core task will provide medical leadership and product support in local subsidiary in close co-operation with medical colleagues and within defined TA global product strategies and plans with particular focus on external customer engagement/interactions.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and delivering Medical Strategies and Plan(s) for relevant therapeutic areas (currently gastro-intestinal and cardio-vascular)

Provide medical/scientific input to access/reimbursement process & product defence

Attend key medical meetings/conferences to represent the company and ensure that internal knowledge is up-to-date

Extract value from participation in and conduct of clinical trials

Contribute in investigator identification and stay abreast of relevant clinical trial activities

Work closely with commercial colleagues to provide expert medical/scientific input to support key products and programmes

Actively look for ideas and opportunities to develop study proposals and to feed them into TEVA Pharma Europe for potential realization.

To develop, cultivate and expand professional contacts as well as in depth knowledge with opinion leaders, nurses and patient organisations in the context of ongoing and planned projects.

Support local compliance activities Internal and external training and production of necessary training materials, complying with existing legislation

“Horizon scanning” of relevant publications and production of technical bulletins/briefing documents, training programmes, etc, as appropriate

Support for Medical Information Service to ensure provision of accurate information to external/internal customers

The job holder should aspire to divide his/her time approx. 60/40% between internal tasks and external expert facing activities.

Who are you?

You are preferable an MD, Pharmacists or similar university degree. Having a PhD degree and (Health related) Research and/or industry experience from similar jobs may be an advantage.

You are a dynamic self-starter with a high level of personal drive with the ability to build strong and reliable professional long-term relationships. You are a team player who inspires cross functional collaboration.

And at last but not least you have the ability to be an above average presenter with good communication skills.

You are fluent in English and Dutch
