The opportunity

This Global role is responsible for supporting the Indirect Procurement activities within the Global Teva organization. The role has the challenge to interact with all manufacturing and R&D sites including a wide range of stakeholders. This role is accountable for supporting the implementation of the Capex, Maintenance including spare parts optimization and Laboratory Equipment strategies. 
The Capex, Maintenance and Laboratory Equipment Head will focus on supplier rationalization and development, contract negotiations, risk management, stakeholder engagement and ongoing continuous improvement activities. This role strives to generate and deliver ongoing value through year-over-year savings and to ensure flawless execution of all Capex, Maintenance and Laboratory projects across Teva. 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Supports MG&S Sr. Director in development and implementation of global and regional Procurement goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with key Global stakeholders: Engineering, Quality, R&D, Sites and Financial leadership
  • Leads a Team of 2-3 Direct reports, actively develop skills and expertise
  • Executes Indirect categories strategies focusing on innovation, long term financial targets, cash flow optimization ,standardization across sites and overall company growth objectives 
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships within the procurement teams to promote category strategies and manage effectively key suppliers. 
  • Supports to achieve Indirect categories objectives – most notably for savings delivery, supplier risk management and uninterrupted support to plant operations and services 
  • Conducts supply market research to provide category intelligence and benchmarks on industry dynamics, innovative trends and best practices.
  • Leads global supplier negotiations and global projects
  • Your experience and qualifications

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Education Preferred: University Degree or higher. Degree in Engineering is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrable experience in Indirect procurement with very clear understanding of various aspects, opportunities and challenges in Indirect categories. Understanding of Industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience Required: 10-20 years of strategic procurement experience with evidence of managing independent responsibilities. Prior Experience of working in matrix organization structure is desirable. 
  • Proven track record of influencing large budgets and managing purchase or equipment’s, maintenance & asset management operations across multiple sites.
  • A team player with capability to influence stakeholders while working in cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – the ability to gain senior leadership support
  • Strong Interpersonal/Relationship Management Skills
  • Strategic mindset with demonstrable capabilities and command in execution of assignments in Indirect Procurement 
  • Excellent command of ERP systems like SAP / ARIBA etc. is a must
