We are currently seeking a Network Engineer for our client in Haarlem. This dynamic company has experienced remarkable growth over the past 30 years, employing more than 1000 professionals across 10 global locations. In the Netherlands alone, they have a diverse team of 135 employees representing nearly 50 different nationalities.

As a Network Engineer, your role will involve managing backup and disaster recovery systems, upgrading hardware and software for network servers, monitoring the virtual server (VMWare) environment, ensuring network security, and analyzing LAN/WAN. You will provide courteous and professional network support to employees and clients across all locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting networking equipment and systems.
  • Conducting regular analysis of the LAN/WAN to ensure optimal performance and resolving any issues.
  • Documenting the functionality of applications or systems.
  • Managing and monitoring anti-virus systems while providing hands-on training to employees.
  • Supporting inter-connectivity between US and international locations, with a focus on network security.
  • Ensuring 24/7 availability of all data on network servers.
  • Collaborating with employees to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Required skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in an enterprise network environment.
  • Technical skills/certifications relevant to the assigned systems, with at least four years of experience in backup/disaster recovery systems, TCP/IP, DNS, Windows Server, and DHCP.
  • Experience working with virtual environments.
  • Fluent in English (written & oral).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of network topology and remote access devices, along with the ability to write professional reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: up to €40,000 gross per year.
