What Will You Do?
As a Proposal Engineer, you are responsible for developing technically sound and commercially competitive proposals for generator and backup power projects. You act as the connecting link between customers, suppliers, engineering, and sales.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing technical and commercial proposals for generator and backup power solutions
- Translating customer requirements into practical and cost-effective system designs
- Developing preliminary technical concepts and supporting visual layouts
- Creating cost calculations, technical specifications, and project timelines
- Coordinating with engineering, procurement, project management, and sales teams
- Gathering technical information and quotations from suppliers worldwide
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local and international suppliers
- Supporting account managers with technical expertise during customer discussions
- Ensuring accurate documentation and proposal administration
- Contributing to continuous improvements in proposal processes, templates, and tools
What Do You Bring?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in a Proposal Engineer, Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, or similar technical-commercial role
- Knowledge of generators, engines, backup power systems, or related energy solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a project-driven environment
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or comparable engineering software
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical and business requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Dutch language skills are considered an advantage
- Structured, accurate, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
